About Kristin

Kristin Lassonde teaches mathematics at Klamath Community College in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where she serves as the Faculty Advisor of the MAKCC student Math Club and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. During this past school year, she mentored several students on individual research projects, four of whom presented their projects at the Pacific Northwest Mathematical Association of America (MAA) Section meeting earlier this school year and one of whom presented at MAA's national MathFest conference this past week! She spends her 'free time' serving as a peer reviewer for online courses through Quality Matters.
Kristin attended undergrad at both the University of Texas in Arlington and Texas A&M University, and graduate school in Southern California at Cal State Los Angeles and Claremont Graduate University. Prior to teaching community college, she taught all grade levels of secondary school (7th through 12th), including both online and face-to-face courses.
